From Stories to Science
Long before science, we had stories. Through twelve intricate illustrations and accompanying snippets, explore the dark tales and legends we once used to make sense of the world. From the taming of volcanoes to the fossils behind our mythical creatures, learn about the science that eventually replaced them.
Stunning Wall Art, Month After Month
A year of artwork, science, and kurzgesagt for your walls. Every piece is vibrant, bold, and beautifully printed on high-quality paper. Each month brings an incredible new illustration to transform your wall into a scene of science and wonder.

"When brainstorming this year’s theme, we considered how complex the world really is. We still can’t explain everything today, so how did people do it in the past? Illustrating these concepts that go beyond what a camera could capture gave us a lot of creative freedom. Each illustration was carefully conceptualised and designed, and we aimed to make the artworks very detailed so that something new can catch your eye throughout the entire month." Teddy, Head of Illustration |
Made by Humans, for Humans
Behind every page is a team of real people: researchers digging into myths, writers shaping stories, and artists illustrating each unique legend by hand. Every detail (and there are many!) is there for a reason. Creating this calendar takes a year of hard work, but it's become our statement against mindless AI slop.
Fund Another Year of kurzgesagt
Each calendar purchase funds independent science communication, giving our researchers, writers, and artists the time and care to make meaningful, high-quality work. Thanks to you, we can keep making free educational videos for millions, crafted with love and curiosity.

Best way to cheer up in the morning, looking to the colorfull wanders of the past, with a tip of cool info.
We love to hear that, thank you so much! 💖

As one of the only traditons in my house, i am really happy to see that the next calender is again even better than the last one! Love the artwork, only thing is that it seems that the paper gets thinner, it feels a bit flimsy in comparison with the one from this year, but that could be me.

The Kurzgesagt calendar has become a staple in our household, and every October is less about Halloween - more about preordering it.
The design is improved upon year on year, and as much as it pains me, it is probably the only calendar that guarantees no AI slop.
This year I decided to go for a bigger package, to support this amazing company even more.
Much love!

I love your calendar, I've been ordering it since the first one.
But this year the shipping became more expensive than the product :(
First of all, we’re so glad you love the calendar - thanks for letting us know!
We've been working hard on improving our shipping rates, but shipping to your region is currently very expensive from our German warehouse, and sadly that's largely out of our hands. But we truly appreciate you going the extra mile for us <3
D
It reached our home super fast! And the calendar is top quality, as usual. Love it!
